Three Friends, playing the music of Gentle Giant, toured North America in June of 2010. Following a warm-up gig the week before at All Saints Centre in Lewes, East Sussex, UK, the band headed for Quebec, Canada, with Mick Wilson as their singer. After two very successful gigs there, Mick’s visa problems created the need for a replacement vocalist. When they reached the USA, Pierre Bordeleau took over – remarkably, after only a single day of rehearsal ... quite an achievement. Three Friends would play three gigs with Pierre to appreciative audiences in the States over the course of three days to complete the tour.
It was my good fortune to attend all five shows, as well as soundchecks and rehearsals. These photos illustrate a cross-section of those experiences, with views from the first row to the last. Thank you to 3F for a memorable and fantastic week!
